Hi!

Do you believe in astrology?

I do. When I was thinking of helping people for a living, I looked at a bunch of charts and they all confirmed for me: I’m meant to be a coach.

My psychiatrist (I’ll get to that) had suggested it to me. I thought she was crazier than I was. But then I started seeing signs that she was on to something.

I noticed that at work and in my circle of friends, people kept coming to me for advice, perspective, and motivation. And then I realized, they always have.

“Anamae, I don’t know if I should stay with my husband. Should I make the move or stick it out?”

“Anamae, my business is in the red. I have no cash flow. I’m stuck.”

“Anamae, should I make the jump from my 9-5 and become an entrepreneur? I don’t even know what my passion is.”

I know it sounds weird, but I hear these friends talking. And from their first sentence, I already have an answer in my head. I listen all the way through, but my answer usually ends up the same at the end.

It’s kind of like dancing (which, you might notice from this site, happens to be a passion of mine). Working with my clients to figure out their next step has that same natural, follow-the-music flow.

And speaking of music:

My number one job when I work with you, my greatest specialty, is helping you press play on your life.

Press. Play.

Get unstuck, move forward, dance your way to happiness. (Don’t worry if you can’t dance, I mean that figuratively. This isn’t a ballroom dance studio.)

If I can, you can.

What do I mean?

I said I’d get back to the psychiatrist.

Well here you go: I was in therapy because I’d been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder with OCD.

That same time that I got the diagnosis, I got married and divorced within the same year, developed terrible allergies and took meds that, together with my psych meds turned me into a zombie. My grandma died. I ate my feelings, gained 60 pounds (translation: I got supremely fat.)

Did I mention this was all at the same time?

To make a long spiritual-journey story short, I learned to take responsibility for my emotions. I went from always being reactive, snappy, a prisoner of my own feelings, and a class-A bitch... to understanding myself, getting out of my 24/7 eat-sleep-eat cycle, going back to the office, reducing my meds, and naturally managing my stress.

I pressed play on my life.

I’m not a psychiatrist. I’m not telling you I can help you get over a personality disorder.

What I’m demonstrating is that, if I can do it, so can you.

I’ve helped people like you to:

Get more clients

Discover their next career steps and get out of a rut

Sketch out an action plan for their business

Reconnect with the hubby

And get momentum in general.
